make a plan.

: the most important part of electrifying is understanding what will - and won't - work for your space.
Not all electric appliances work in all spaces. For example, if your water heater is housed in a tight or confined space you might need to make ventilation adjustments before considering a heat pump water heater. Or, if your home appliances are primarily powered by methane gas, it probably makes sense to electrify your appliances first, before installing rooftop solar.

In short, it's important to look at your home holistically, understanding how all appliances work together in your space, so you can make a plan to electrify successfully. The last thing anyone wants (including us) is to have an appliance installed that doesn't work how you need it to.
