Are you thinking about replacing your water heater? Looking to purchase one that will save you money while helping you do your part for climate change? Have you already purchased a heat pump water heater (on or after June 1, 2023) and are looking for a rebate?
You’re in luck! The City of Missoula and Missoula County are partnering to offer a local $500 rebate for heat pump water heaters for projects completed in Missoula County. Fill out a satisfaction survey after your project is complete and receive an additional $75. Plus, expanded federal tax credits can cover 30% of project costs! Eligible products can be found here (click on "Water Heaters (Electric)"). How to apply.If you haven’t yet purchased a water heater, you can apply today and get pre-qualified for a rebate. (Find a list of local retailers & installers here.) If you’ve already purchased a heat pump water heater, you are eligible for a rebate if the purchase was made after June 1, 2023, pending funding availability.
